Create a Payment

Pesawise allows users to accept payments while also making payments.All the payment options are seamless and money sent or recieved is in real time. As a user of the platform, pesawise offers three options of making payments:

  • Send to bank.
  • Send to mobile.
  • Pesawise to pesawise.

Send to Bank.​

Using the Pesawise platform, a user can transfer money from their pesawise account to a bank account securely. To initiate a bank transfer :

  • Select payments from the Pesawise sidebar and click on the Send to bank option.
  • In the form displayed, enter :
    • The balance account from which the money is transferred from.
    • The destination bank.
    • The amount to be transferred.
    • The receiver's account number.
    • The name of the receiver.
    • The reference of payment.

  • To simplify future transactions with the same recipient, you may choose to save their information by checking the Save Counterparty checkbox before proceeding to click Continue.

  • You can then review the transfer details, amount, cost and also the Receiver's details which are verified by the system. If the details are incorrect you can always select Previous to go back and change the details.

  • Once you confirmed the details select continue.

  • For safety reasons, you will be asked whether you trust the receiver. If you select yes, you are sent an OTP (One time password) to the email you had registered the account with.

Send to Mobile.​

You can also make a payment directly to mobile using the platform. This service is limited to sending KES 150,000 per transaction and KES 300,000 worth of transactions per day as per Kenya's mobile transfer limitations. To send money to mobile :

  • Select Payments from the Pesawise Sidebar or homepage and click Send to mobile option.
  • In the form displayed enter :
    • Balance account from which the money is transferred from.
    • Mobile provider - MPESA
    • The amount to be transferred.
    • The mobile number of the receiver.
    • The payment reference.
    • Name of the person you are sending to.
    • You can then check the Save Counterparty checkbox to save the details for future payments incase the receiver is a frequent beneficiary.Once done click Continue
  • You can then review the mobile money transfer details, amount, cost of sending and phone number before selecting continue.
  • For safety reasons, you will be asked whether you trust the receiver. If you select yes, you are sent an OTP (One time password) to the email you had registered the account with.
  • Input the OTP and select Submit to finalize the payment.

Pesawise to Pesawise.​

Pesawise platform also offers internal payment transfer between two pesawise accounts. You can make payments from one Pesawise account to another seamlessly. This is ideal if the person you are making payments to also has a Pesawise account that receives and updates payments instantly!

To make payment into another Pesawise account:

  • Select Payments from the Pesawise Sidebar or homepage and click Pesawise to Pesawise option.
  • In the form displayed enter :
    • Balance account from which the money is transferred from.
    • Recipient's business ID (Found on the top left corner 6 digits)
    • The amount to be transferred.
    • The payment reference.
  • You can then review the payment details and confirm the amount, charges, name and account. If all details are okay, Select Continue.
  • You will be prompted to input an OTP (One time password) which can be found in the email you had registered for the system.
